GosMKB "Vympel"

      State Engineering Design Bureau "Vympel" (GosMKB "Vympel") named after I.I. Toropov JSC is one of the leading design bureaus, specializing in development of aircraft weaponry.

     The enterprise develops the following products:
    - “Air-to-air” guided missiles;
    - “air-to-surface” guided missiles;
    - guided missiles for land-based and naval anti-aircraft missile systems and  missile targets derived from them;
    - launchers for aircraft guided missiles;
    - beam- and cluster holders for bomb- and torpedo suspensions;
    - blocks for small arms and unguided rocket missiles;
    - countermeasure systems for planes’ and helicopters’ protection;
    - lifting tacking for planes and helicopters.
     The "Vympel" weapons are carried by the world-known aircraft and helicopters of MiG, Su, Yak, Tu, Il, Be, Mi, Ka types being in service in Russia,  the CIS countries  and abroad. The enterprise has developed and put into operation more than 200 models of hardware and their modifications, it gained scientific and technical experience to develop advanced products.
     More than 50 models of defense products developed by specialists of the design bureau including such well-known missiles as R-60, R-73E, RVV-AE, R-27T (R, P) (air-to-air), Kh-29T (TE, L) (air-to-surface) and 3M9 (surface-to-air) are used in more than 30 countries.
     Besides, the design bureau develops a number of civil products. Application of  the defense technologies makes it possible to manufacture the following competitive products:
    - airdrome equipment;
    - drilling strings;
    - survival pyrotechnical shears;
    - small-dimensional sensors;
    - medical microthermocontainers and mobile laboratories;
    - heaters and luminaries for various purposes;
    - porous and wire mesh filters for various gas systems.
